Castles in the Sky
Authors: Bryan Kuklinski, George Tyson, Bryan Athan
Presented at the 2024 NSMMS & CRASTE Joint Symposia by Bryan Kuklinski and George Tyson. Abstract: Orbital Construction Pioneers (OCP) is developing an orbital fabrication process for very large space structures that uses non-traditional methods and materials. The patent pending process takes a radical new approach on the geopolymer systems the ancient civilizations used to create large structures and monoliths using in-situ resources. This results in final structures that are flexible in design, and are adjustable to fit almost any mission, including storage, work platforms, long term habitats, and as vessels when attached to propulsion.
Solar System Wide Data Network
Author: George R. Tyson
As humanity expands into the solar system all types of data will be crucial to the success of the endeavor. A Solar System wide data collection, analysis, and dissemination network similar to the terrestrial Internet of Things (IoT) or Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) must be constructed.
